The Bainbridge Ometepe Sister Islands Association maintains our Web site to tell people about Bainbridge and Ometepe and about the unofficial sister relationship between the two islands. Also on our site you can buy our delicious Café Oro de Ometepe, a fair-traded, shade-grown, certified organic coffee.

Information this Site Gathers/Tracks

If you purchase coffee or other products from us, we collect your name, address, credit card number and optionally your e-mail address. We keep this information long enough to process your order and then destroy it. You may register at our Coffee Shop site to receive special offers. In that case we keep the information you give us with the best security we can offer. You may join the Sister Islands Association and receive our quarterly newsletter to keep informed about our work. We also keep an e-mail list, which you may request to join. Information for membership and mail lists may include name, address, phone number, email address and membership level. We also keep track of members and friends who have visited Ometepe. We keep this kind of information until you request us to delete it.

Use of the Information this Site Gathers/Tracks

The purchase information you give us lets us fulfill your orders. Membership information lets us keep you informed about what we are doing, and to give you an opportunity to become involved with our work.

Sharing of the Information this Site Gathers/Tracks

We give your credit card information to a bank or clearing house when we transact business with you. We do not sell, rent, give, or allow anyone to use our databases. Information in our databases may be made available to government entities under court order in any jurisdiction in which we operate. We presently operate in the United States of America and in Nicaragua.

This is an "Opt-In" Site

The only way to get into our database is to invite yourself. We do not buy or rent other lists, and we do not "harvest" addresses off the Internet.

Deleting your information from our database
